The Bear 18.11.00. +Dawn joins the band

Second gig and new addition!!!

We were joined by our first female member on 12th November 2000.
Dawn  O'Brien came into our rehersal with a see how things work out agreement.  She bashed away on various percussive instruments and it didn't sound bad at all !  She has previously worked with Steve on Messerschmidt Twins recordings.

So , cometh the hour and we all ventured off to The Bear for our second gig this year (as you can see gigs are a rarity !!!) on Saturday 18th November. It was another acoustic night and we supported Paul's other band ANORAKULA  who gave us a fine acoustic covers set. The audience  was  about 100, not bad at all. We were a bit nervous but were  well recieved , and Dawn fitted in with our sound very well.
Some positive comments were passed on after our set and I think that encouraged us all !.

The search for BRYAN ADAMS.
Oh yes, after a bit of research I found and e-mailed Bryan Adams' management,  Bruce Allen Talent of Canada, for an address to send "Strange Love" to him . I did get a reply but they would not supply an address and said "Bryan writes all his own songs" , which is only partially true. These days he works with other writers so why didn't they at least give me a chance?. I don't know. But once again it shows that the world of established acts is a very hard one to break into.
