2nd April 2006

flyer for gig at MAC

"Lovely crowd in last night- just right really. Valuable Fools really complemented it as well" - Gary O'Dea (Gojo)

"Just to say what a super time I had listening to you last night "- Mags Scorey (poet)

OK , so they missed off "The" from our name, but we'll forgive them. Yep, the band downed the full on rock sound and constructed our first acoustic set especially for this gig supporting Gojo. Mr Rushbo even constructed his own scaled down army of percussion which sounded delightful. It was great to be playing such a well known venue and we even had our own dressing room - such luxury! We played the Music Room, which unfortunately had no monitors, so both Warwick and myself couldn't really hear what we were playing. However, it all went down very well and we got a good turnout. We really loved playing our country version of "What I Want" and judging by the cries of "more" from the audience, they enjoyed our set too!

This evening also saw what could very well be Ella's last gig with us. She's got a lot of personal commitments now and we are sorry to see her go. We'll all miss her fab harmonies and playing. There's an outside chance she may do the odd gig with us, but for now there's a vacancy. So, if you're up for singing and you can play an instrument, let us know by e-mail to mark@valuablefools.co.uk
