We had the debut of Rushbo's electric kit which made some resounding "thwacks!" and we played pretty well. Shame that the near full room emptied after support act Alistair Jones left the stage. Again, I could rant on because they missed a rather wonderful Chris Hayden support slot (this kid has got the X-Factor a lot more than the TV wannabes) and of course our own rockin set, complete with two new songs. Playing to a few folks isn't really what any band wants to do and the whole gig was pretty depressing personally. But hey didn't that sort of thing happen when Maximo Park played after The Artic Monkeys? It's some small consolation that we did have slightly more people see us than last time however. We swopped around some of the set listed below, because Paul said it was too heavy a start for the older audience we were playing to. However, by the end two women were dancing and singing along to "What I Want", which considering they probably never heard it before is amazing! The two new songs we played were the lilting "After The Waltz" and what can only be descibed as the disco/indie-folk/Kletzma feel of "Don't Get Me Started". Both seemed to go down quite well.
All the best
