Well we debuted at a new venue for us, but one that's established in Brum as a venue for live music. Shame then that there were so few people around (again - what is it with this city or is it the wrong end of the week?). This was a last minute quite chaotic affair but was pulled together and MC'd by a woman who said she'd "pimp our ass!". An offer we've never had before! We did have a few people come up to see us and so were the only band with an audience! We rocked a fat one and the other bands seemed to enjoy us as well. Shame as well on the pub for not turning off the footie screens, this shows how much they couldn't care less about the bands on stage! Along with us there was James Dean's Car (who played an acoustic blues set), a member of What About Cube (in a Radiohead stylee!) and two lads and a drum machine (sorry I can't remember the name). Whether we'll actually carry on playing pubs in the ar*e end of town, I don't know, but we did enjoy gaining some kudos from fellow bands and positive comments from the people who came to see us.
All the best
Mark
