Firstly, apologies for being a bit lax on the site updates over the summer. Mark has moved house and is temporarily disconnected from the Internet (how will he cope?), so he's been unable to do anything on the site. He's gone up market to a lovely house in Lapal; I reckon he must have got a secret publishing deal or something.
Recording has been going well though with me and Ian getting down some solid backings for some great new songs. Also we're in the middle of recording some acoustic sessions and some of these will be available on the site.
Artsfest 2006

We get to play at a prestigious event like the Birmingham Artsfest, we get our picture taken by a BBC photographer to be put on the Beeb website, and this is the picture they choose?
A great day out for the band. A lovely hot summers day at the end of July. We opened up at The City Cafe at 12.30pm, which is a bit early in the day for some of the band members, but we played ok and were well received by the small but perfectly formed audience. We were also joined by Ameet on the digeridoo for an impromptu version of It Makes Me Wonder which I thought was rather good.
Then it was back to Steve's for a well earned chilli to fortify us for the next show at The Stage at 4.30pm. Although they were running late and we went on quite some time after that. We played a rockier set to a full house who seemed to be enjoying themselves.
THE BEAR 21st October 2006
Despite some technical difficulties with P.A. everyone put on a magnificent performance. We re-debuted a new song called We Always Run Too Far, containing a mighty guitar solo from Warwick. I think this tune will soon become a showstopper.
All the best
Steve
