25/11/07 Atticus Bar

Ahh, well, back at Atticus for what seemed at first to be a children's tea party, but actually turned out to be the most packed gig I've ever played at the place! Superb support form our Bearwood buddies Ethel Vince and our old pal Jayne Powell and Band. Also an honourable mention to Alex Lanyon, who seemed to have brought an entire entourage with him. Yours truly had one or two jazz moments and my hand developed cramp during one song. Good job it was near the end. We got a decent reception and some singing along. Our new song, "Winter Song", went down well, which was great as we'd never played it live before. Our Ian did a great solo song called "Liar's Dance", ably supported by Mr Steve on bongos before we finished with What I Want, which is probably the only song in rock that I know of, that segues Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" into the chorus of "Bob The Builder"! Well the kiddies were pleased and so was I! We also got a mention on RadioWM last week. Hooray!
