Is Stourbridge the rock capital of the world? Probably not, but Katy Fizgerald's was IMHO one of the better small venues to play, despite the rather cramped stage conditions. We supported local faves (as they say) Red Line Ratio, who did a nice line in Manic SP sounding music. It was great to get airplay on Radio WM of The Vine and a plug for this gig.How many at KF had heard it though I couldn't tell. A small audience saw us and apart from our regualrs we got some new faces, which is always good. My mood wasn't helped by a rather boomy sound and some git talking loudly thorough "Beautiful". Why can't he just bugger off to another room? However, it went OK. As I wasn't able to move due to the potential for unplugging my cable with my feet, it was good to know that Alison made up for it by smiling and dancing. Once again we had a bash at Winter Song, which is begining to shape up now to be rather a decent tune. Inpired by seeing the headliners, I think I may take up my electric guitar and effects pedals again and see what comes of that. Set: The Vine, Don't Get Me Started, 1976 Anyway, Inside, You, Beautiful, Heroes (David Bowie), Winter Song, We Always Run Too Far, What I Want.
All the best
